A Family Business Since 1968
Glen’s traces its roots back to 1968, when the McBride family first entered the pawn business in downtown Denton.
Larry McBride ran McBride’s, and his nephew, Glen McBride, ran Glen’s from 1977 until he retired in 2019.
Katy grew up in the pawnshop and in her 20s ventured into doing estate sales. Her company, Vintage Kate has held dozens of Estate Sales across Texas, Oklahoma, North Carolina, and Colorado.
“I thought I would never do this again, but I love vintage stuff. It really was killing my heart to see my friends and family go through the liquidation process when their loved one passed away, or maybe they got sick, or maybe they needed to downsize… So I started doing estate sales 20 years ago.”
